ABVP function in Mumbai on 9th February 2023

We had an amazing opportunity to meet Shri. Padmanabh Acharya, former Governor of Assam, Nagaland and Tripura at the ABVP function in Mumbai on 9th February 2023. During this meet, we got a chance to discuss our activity in the North East (NE). The ABVP function was on account of NE Students Jeevan Darshan. The function was held in the magnificent Convocation Hall of Mumbai University. The Chief Guest at the event was the Dy. CM of Maharashtra Shri. Devendra Fadnavis. He spoke about the good work of the organization in the student exchange program between states. The unique feature of this program is that students are requested to stay with families and such families take care of them as their own. The speakers from the NE were themselves the speakers at the event while the listeners amongst others were the Dy. CM.

The other speakers including the Dy CM talked about how NE students in the past have been harassed since they look different. All of this is now a thing of the past and the New Bharat and programs like these dissolve the difference and accept them as one. Ekatmata!
