CA. Aditya Sesh is a Chartered Accountant by training & a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is the Founder & Managing Director of Basiz Fund Service Private Limited (www.basizfa.com) and has been closely associated with the financial services industry, notably the international fund accounting and administration industry for the past 25 years. As a person Sesh is an ardent evangeliser of “Made in India for the World” from 2006“, “ The World is Flatter, thank we think”, “Go Glocal” from 2007 and “Geography is History”- from 2008. Many actionable technology and service points from this thought process were implemented in Basiz over the years and realised benefits in the recent Corona Pandemic.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1992, he commenced his career in the financial services industry in India and worked closely with the then leading market leaders who were trying to position India as the next investment destination in the light of the blockbuster economic reforms of 1991. Shortly after this, he was instrumental in working on mega deals in the infrastructure sector and was able to successfully achieve financial closure for big ticket Independent Power Projects.
Bitten by the bug of international exposure, he continued his innings in the new areas of fund accounting, fund administration and financial reporting in Dutch West Indies Curacao, Carribean, Mainland Europe and the US. He worked for Mees Pierson Heldering, Fortis Fund Services, Curacao, (then the second largest offshore fund administrator in the world). He was also with PFPC Inc, Delaware, US (the second largest fund administrator in the US) before returning to India and giving wings to his entrepreneurial dreams by setting up Basiz Fund Service Private Limited in 2004.
Under his leadership, Basiz scaled to be among the largest agencies in the world in financial reporting for funds and built an enviable track record within the top 50 firms in fund administration. Not resting on his laurels, he has now chartered the company into new high technology areas of Fund & Legal Tech products. Basiz is in the process of launching a slew of new high end patented products and services which will effectively enable the transformation of the company by adding multiple services to its portfolio.
Sesh has also been instrumental along with the corporate strategic team, to bring to reality platform asset management services, financial & accounting and software services. The Vision 2024 program is already taking shape. With this, Basiz will not only scale new heights in the fund services industry but will position itself as a well integrated IT enabled services company. Basiz will have service offerings targeting all industry groups and catering to a diverse mix of B2B and B2C customers.
Aditya Sesh’s core competency is his deep knowledge of global fund administration, tax laws and regulations of various domiciles besides investment philosophies, sound understanding of data analytics and technology; all in all a formidable combination. He is also a Committee Member at the North American Fund Administration Association & a Member at Israel Hedge Funds Association. He is a keen industry observer and writes a regular blog on www.seshspeaks.com which highlights some very original thoughts on the fund services industry. He was a visiting faculty in one of the leading management institutes in India. He actively evangelises and is an active participant in legislation as well as in disseminating information worldwide on Gujarat International Fin-Tec (GIFT) City, India’s first offshore financial services centre.
Today, apart from being the Managing Director of Basiz Fund Service Private Limited, he sits on the Boards of Basiz AIF Trustees Private Limited, Pi-Comm (India) Private Limited, Opsglobal Capital Advisors Private Limited and Muller & Phipps India Limited, a 100 year old entity which has one of the largest distribution networks in India in the areas of pharma and OTC pharma products, among other products.
He is also a Member of the Government of India (Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare) Expert Committee On eNWRS, E-National Warehouses House Receipts, a Government of India Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare initiative that seeks to pioneer change in agri trading in India.
He is a philanthropist and supports various social causes through Basiz and Sujata & Sesh Foundation, an organisation which tries to assist a few charitable causes every year not only financially but also with inputs which result in directly visible social impact at ground level.

Mr. Howard Seligman is the Country Director (Americas) at Basiz Fund Service. He has 35+ years of experience in marketing services in the financial services Industry. He has served as an Investment Attaché to a sovereign government and was a principal founder of the Star Trade Funds, a country specific fund family serving as the investment advisor of a group of funds consisting of equity, fixed income, balanced and money market mutual funds. Under three gubernatorial administrations, he has served as an active member of a NJ State Commission on the International Trade and Education Exchange committees defining program objectives. Currently he is a Director of an Investment Advisory firm and a member of the firm’s Investment Review Committee. Howard is based in New Jersey, USA.
Dr. Viswanath Krishnan, Ph.D., (Krish), Director and Investment Banker has more than 25 years’ experience across projects and assignments in India, Middle East and Nigeria covering private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, project investment evaluation, business incubation and post investment monitoring. He holds a Masters Degree in Management and a Ph.D. qualification for his work on pre and post merger evaluation. Krish is based in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
CPA Honey Yee is the VP marketing and Sales at Basiz. She is a Bachelor of commerce in Banking, Finance and Accounting from Monash University and has more than 18 years of post qualification experience in marketing and sales in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Basiz she worked with BNP Paribas Singapore. She is based in Singapore and drives Basiz marketing and sales activities for APAC region.
Dr. Sujata Seshadrinathan is the Director of IT & Process at Basiz. She has 16+ years experience in IT/ITES, specifically in Technical/Domain Training, Business Process Management, Process Control and Product Development. Prior to joining Basiz, she worked with Syntel and Foster Wheeler. At Basiz, she is responsible for software development, quality assurance procedures, product development and training. She was awarded the degree of Doctor of Business Administration with Dean's List Merit Scholarship for coursework, for her Thesis on Determinants Of Adoption Of Blockchain Technology For Accounting Applications by the S. P. Jain School of Global Management. She has filed patent applications for two high end intellectual property products covering (1) Legal Tech Products and (2) Commerce Tech Products. She is the recipient of "Women's Entrepreneur of the Year award for the SAARC (Bronze)" at a ceremony held under the aegis of the Women's Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Sri Lanka, at the hands of the First Lady of Sri Lanka, Prof Maithree Wickremesinghe, at a function held on Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2023. Dr. Sujata is also felicitated as one of India's Top Women In Finance 2023 at the 5th Edition of the Indian Women in Finance Summit 2023. In addition to her skills in the development of high-end intellectual property products, Dr. Sujata Seshadrinathan has also been managing the proprietary investment portfolio of Basiz for the last 13 years. She is an astute investor and has fine tuned and developed her skills in stock picking for the long term. The portfolio of investments developed by her as a result of her deep research into long term equity investments in the Indian stock markets has shown a return in Dollar terms in excess of 8% per annum. She has developed a proprietary algorithm which takes into account various factors such as quality of management, previous growth rates, estimated potential, free float of the stock, high and low price movement, earnings profile, dividend distribution and a few other factors which enable her to get a grip on the entry and exit points of a stock. The quality of stock picks is also an interesting mixture of investments in direct equity (sector agnostic companies with a strong growth story and good management depth), well managed and diversified mutual funds as well as a modest component in fixed income securities.
Mr. Gerard J. Benares is Head of Operations for Compass Group LLC in the New York office. He is responsible for supervision, risk and regulatory oversight for the registered investment advisor and broker dealer businesses. He also develops and manages the firm’s relationships with custodian banks, prime brokers, administrators, counterparties and other service providers outside Latin America, as well as coordinates and oversees planning and implementation of regional projects and initiatives. His three decade plus exposure includes stints at Salomon Asset Management, EH Capital, UBS Private Banking, Lazard Asset Management etc. Mr. Benares is a licensed Operations Professional (FINRA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance (1985) from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA.
Mr. Nishith Shetty is a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University. A Recruitment and HR specialist for more than 12 years, he has recruited more than 3,000 personnel. He has worked extensively in the BFSI, IT & Oil and Gas industry in India and the Middle East. Prior to joining Basiz he worked with Tutis Resource Management Services. CA Suresh Pai heads the NAV & PEVC segment at Basiz. He is a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University & a Chartered Accountant from ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) with more than 12 years of post-qualification experience in Finance, Auditing, Taxation and Accounting. Prior to joining Basiz, he worked with SS&C GlobeOps - a listed software company in the United States as Manager-Fund Accounting. He also worked with Deloitte in their Audit practice. At Basiz, he heads Fund Accounting operations of Hedge Funds, Private Equity funds & Family Wealth Managers in addition to tax work of US clients.
CA Samuel Sebastin Jacob heads the Financial Reporting Vertical at Basiz. Sam is a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Madras & a Chartered Accountant from ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) with 10 years of post-qualification experience. He previously worked with Tata Consultancy Services & Citi Trust (Citi group) in Financial Reporting.
CA Varadarajan Viswanathan (Varada) is a Compliance and Financial Crime Specialist whose background spans nearly 20 years in financial and investment banking sectors for both start-ups and international conglomerates. He is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Company Secretary from Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Certified Advanced AML Audit Specialist and Anti Money Laundering Specialist. Trinanjan Dutta is an Assistant Manager for US Tax at Basiz. He is a Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University & an MBA in Finance with more than four years of post-qualification experience in Finance, Taxation and Accounting. Prior to joining Basiz, he worked with Grant Thornton as Consultant in US Tax. At Basiz, he handles all US Tax engagements including the tax returns for US clients encompassing individual taxation, corporation taxation and partnership taxation.
